This hand-painted Talavera ceramic tile has a white background with a big dark blue flower in the background and a big orange flower in the foreground; both centered in each tile. As a first step in the manufacturing process, the whole tile is painted white. Then, the rest of the tile is painted on top of the white. This tile can be used as an accent piece or as a decorative wall by itself, as shown in the second picture.

Since this tile is hand-painted, no two tiles are exactly alike! There may be small differences in size, weight and the paintings.

The adjacent picture shows an example of the patterns you can make using more than one kind of tile, in this case the Blue Petals Talavera Ceramic Tile. This tile is special for small patches or entire wall decoration, as you can see from the pattern found in the last picture. All of our Mexican tiles background is painted in "Mexican white", which is an off white, creamy color.

This tile has limited outdoors use, we don't recommend its use on temperatures under 40 degrees. It is not frost-proof. It is not suitable for inside pools as the chemicals involved on water cleaning will destroy the clay.
