This Talavera ceramic tile is hand-painted in a white background with two orange semi-arcs. As a matter of fact in the manufacturing process, the whole tile is painted in white as a first step and then the rest of the tile is painted on top of the white one.  When you put four tiles together you get two different patterns as shown in the second and third pictures. Once you repeat those patterns both of them generate the more general pattern shown in the 4th picture.
 This tile is handpainted, this means that no two tiles are exactly alike! There might be small differences in size, weight and even the paintings.
The adjacent pictures show some patterns you can make using more than one kind of tile, first is a combination of the Blue Crown Talavera Ceramic Tile and the last one shows the Colonial Talavera Ceramic Tile along the Bell Talavera Ceramic Tile. If you want to delight somebody special with a unique handcrafted gift, this is what you are looking for! This tile is special for small patches or entire wall decoration, as you can see from the patterns found in the last two pictures. All of our Mexican tiles background is painted in "Mexican white", which is an off white, creamy color.

All of our Talavera tiles have a heavily hand-made process involved; as such, imperfections are expected. Color variations are to be expected from batch to batch. What you see on your screen might not be exactly what you will get, this is mostly due to several factors, among others: lighting when the picture was taken, lighting in your own monitor, but mostly changes in the glazes used between batches. All these factors are beyond our control. If in doubt, we recommend you to order a sample before committing to a bigger order. This tile has limited outdoors use, we don't recommend its use on temperatures under 40 degrees. It is not frost-proof. It is not suitable for inside pools as the chemicals involved on water cleaning will destroy the clay.
