A Talavera tile from our Alhambra Series, it is hand-painted mostly in a cream/sanded background. It has a very vivid cyan diamond in the middle, with four smoky/cyan flowers inside it. A picture is worth thousand words, just check it out! Some relief is shown on the tile because the amount of glaze placed before the firing process, this creates a 3D effect on the tile when the glaze is embossed out as heats up. This tile can be used as a complimentary background tile in any wall or horizontal surface, as shown in one of the pictures.
The tile is handpainted, this means that no two tiles are exactly alike! There might be small differences in size, weight and even the painting. If you want to enhance that little spot in your wall, pool or any indoors/outdoors space, this is what you are looking for! In the additional pictures this tile is shown as an accent inside the Adobe Talavera Clay Tile. All of our Mexican tiles background is painted in "Mexican white", which is an off white, creamy color.
DISCLAIMER:
All of our Talavera tiles have a heavily hand-made process involved; as such, imperfections are expected. Color variations are to be expected from batch to batch. What you see on your screen might not be exactly what you will get, this is mostly due to several factors, among others: lighting when the picture was taken, lighting in your own monitor, but mostly changes in the glazes used between batches. All these factors are beyond our control. If in doubt, we recommend you to order a sample before committing to a bigger order. This tile has limited outdoors use, we don't recommend its use on temperatures under 40 degrees. It is not frost-proof. It is not suitable for inside pools as the chemicals involved on water cleaning will destroy the clay.
