This vase has a clear patina that help to preserve the copper, no copper polishing or special cleaning is required, just a dry cloth. This vase was made from one sheet of copper, raised with the artist hammer, there are no one welded joints. It features four spirals, one per side separated by four vertical pronges. Each spiral has a center and four tilted arms. Hammering the red-hot copper is an ancient technique the coppersmiths use, where no sophisticated tools are used, just the furnace to heat the copper and a hammer to give it the shape. We got this vase from the skilled coppersmiths from Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico. A unique gift for your loved ones or for yourself. The hammer footprint is very visible. The reddish/oxidated texture is characteristic of natural copper when it is cooled down from red-hot temperature using cold water, technique that the coppersmiths use. You can put flowers on it. It will really enhance the flowers natural beauty. Suitable for your coffe table or near your fireplace.
