The copper vase shape is very artistic and rich in imagination specially if we consider that the whole body is made of one single copper sheet. This copper vase features some chiseled areas, this is done by the coppersmith to enhance the copper texture. It features a body with three different horseshoe-shaped set of pronges, starting as a pumpkin-shaped bottom. It also has a clear patina that help to preserve the copper, no copper polishing or special cleaning is required, just a wet cloth. We got this vase from the skilled coppersmiths from Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico. A unique gift for your loved ones or for yourself. The hammer footprint is very visible. The reddish/oxidated texture is characteristic of natural copper when it is cooled down from red-hot temperature using cold water, technique that the coppersmiths use. Suitable for your coffe table or near your fireplace. This vase was made from one sheet of copper, raised with the artist hammer, there are no one welded joints. Hammering the red-hot copper is an ancient technique the coppersmiths use, where no sophisticated tools are used, just the furnace to heat the copper and a hammer to give it the shape.
