This hammered-copper nickel-plated bathroom sink is a beautiful work of art. It was created by the skilled copper-smiths of Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico. This sink will add a unique accent to your bathroom. It will be a very special point of attraction.
The hands of the wise copper-smiths transform a single copper sheet into this unique piece. The hand-created hammer footprint is very visible in the sink. Once the sink is completed, a protective coat of nickel is applied over the copper. The final finish is very dark, but shiny at the same time because of the nickel.
Nickel is often used to make stainless steel, nickel steel for armor plates, corrosion-resistant alloys, and coins. Nickel plating functions as a protective coating for other metals. Such is the case in the process employed to make this sink.
This sink can be used as either an under- or over mount sink due to its round rim.
The rim is round and 1" wide. The bowl has a 15" diameter. This sink has a standard 1.5" diameter hole. It does not have an overflow system. The copper sheet is 16 gauge (0.05" thickness).
