This handmade hammered copper bathroom sink comes from the skilled coppersmiths of Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico. Each sink is raised by hand from a single sheet of 16-gauge copper (about 0.05" thick), so there are no welded joints. The artisans use an ancient technique: they heat the copper red-hot in a furnace and shape it with a hammer, leaving the hammer marks clearly visible across the surface. The sink is decorated with raised grapes around the basin. It is then cooled in cold water, which gives the copper its natural reddish, oxidized texture, and it is finished in a dark brown tone. The sink has a standard 1.5" drain opening and no overflow. Its rounded rim makes it suited for above-counter mounting. It adds warm, rustic character to any bathroom and becomes a striking centerpiece of the room.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Toothpaste left on the surface for long periods can wear away the patina more quickly, so we recommend rinsing the sink after brushing your teeth.
