This vase features pronges in three different faces separated from three big legs, making it a triangular shaped one with rounded borders. On every pronge base, it has a rough texture created by the artist chisel. The hammer footprint is visible all the way on its surface, this is a particularly nice feature this copper vase has. It was made from a single heavy gauge copper sheet and raised with the hammer and chisel, there are no one welded joints. Hammering the red-hot copper is an ancient technique the coppersmiths use, where no sophisticated tools are used, just the furnace to heat the copper and a hammer to give it the shape. Made by artist and sculptor Abdon Punzo, from Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico. You will be delighted with the details the sculptor put on it. This is a unique collectors piece! At the bottom of this vase is the artist signature. The reddish/oxidated texture is characteristic of natural copper when it is cooled down from red-hot temperature using cold water, technique that the coppersmiths use.
