This copper and silver vase has a long hexagonal-shaped body. The drawings are rich detailed birds-on-foliage. The inlay silver drawings on this copper vase are very detailed, all hand made. This vase has a clear patina where the copper is exposed to preserve it longer; no further copper polishing or maintenance required. Use a wet cotton cloth to clean it. The reddish/oxidated texture is characteristic of natural copper when it is cooled down from red-hot temperature using cold water, technique that the coppersmiths use. A unique gift for your loved ones or for yourself. This vase was made from one sheet of copper, raised with the artist hammer, there are no one welded joints. The inlayed silver coat is later added to the vase body. Hammering the red-hot copper is an ancient technique the coppersmiths use, where no sophisticated tools are used, just the furnace to heat the copper and a hammer to give it the shape. Suitable for your coffe table or near your fireplace. We got this vase from the skilled coppersmiths from Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico.
