What are Cookies?
Cookies is a term used in the Internet jargon to denote a chunck of data that is
saved in your computer and it is used by the servers to identify which computer you are
connected from. The server is the computer hosting the website you usually visit. The server
needs to know this information in order to keep track of your activity in each particular
website.
Fine Crafts & Imports saves in your computer a customer id number that uniquely identify
your computer to our servers. This help our servers to keep track of you shopping cart and any orders
placed through our website. This, in any way compromises any private information you might
have saved in your computer.
If you disable cookies in your browser we will be unable to keep a shopping cart and the
website will be unoperable at this level. If you disabled cookies by mistake or need to enable
them, just follow the instructions detailed in the next section.
How to Enable Cookies
Each browser has different methods to enable cookies.
Here are the instructions to enable them on the most common browsers.
Mozilla Firefox 1.0
- Select "Options..." from the Tools menu.
- Click on the "Privacy" icon to the left of the dialog box.
- Select "Cookies"
- Check "Allow sites to set cookies".
- Click "OK".
Netscape 7.1/Mozilla 5.0
- Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu.
- Click on the arrow next to "Privacy & Security" in
the scrolling window to expand.
- Select "Cookies."
- Select "Enable all cookies".
- Click "OK".
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0+
- From the Tools menu, select "Internet Options".
- Click on the "Privacy" tab.
- Click on the "Default" button (or
manually slide the bar down to "Medium") under "Settings".
- Click "OK".
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x
- From the Tools menu, select "Internet Options".
- Click on the "Security" tab.
- Click on the "Custom Level" button.
- Scroll down to the "Cookies" section.
- Set "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" to "Enable".
- Set "Allow per-session cookies" to "Enable".
- Click "OK".
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x
- From the View menu, select "Internet Options".
- Click on the "Advanced" tab.
- Scroll down to find "Cookies" within the "Security" section.
- Select "Always accept cookies".
- Click "OK".
Netscape Communicator 4.x
- Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu.
- Find the "Cookies" section in the "Advanced" category.
- Select "Accept all cookies" (or "Enable all cookies").
- Click "OK".
