This tile displays a yellow background with blue and terracotta decor. The second picture shows it spread randomly whereas the third one shows it in a border pattern. The Spaniards, largely influenced by Arabic pottery, brought Talavera clay to Mexico, resulting in the mixing of the two cultures through aesthetically exquisite pieces of ceramic art. This ceramic tile is an example of the detailed work and passion that Mexican craftsmen put into every item they create. Each piece of Mexican Talavera tile is hand painted, offering customers a one of a kind product. No two tiles are exactly the same, and will vary slightly in color and shape.
All of our Talavera tiles have a heavily hand-made process involved; as such, imperfections are expected. Color variations are to be expected from batch to batch. What you see on your screen might not be exactly what you will get, this is mostly due to several factors, among others: lighting when the picture was taken, lighting in your own monitor, but mostly changes in the glazes used between batches. All these factors are beyond our control. If in doubt, we recommend you to order a sample before committing to a bigger order.
