This vase features a roses and leaves decoration all around it, you can see the chisel and hammer footsteps on it. Made from a single heavy gauge copper sheet and raised with the hammer and chisel, it does not have any welded joints AND IT IS BIG!. Hammering the copper is an ancient technique the coppersmiths use, where no sophisticated tools are used (as shown in a picture below), just the furnace to heat the copper and a hammer. Made by artist and sculptor Abdon Punzo, from Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico. You will be delighted with the details the sculptor put on it. This is a unique collectors piece! At the bottom of this vase is the artist signature. The reddish/oxidated texture is characteristic of natural copper when it is cooled down from red-hot temperature using cold water, technique that most of the coppersmiths use. No further copper polishing or maintenance required because it has a enamel coating to protect it. Use a wet cotton cloth to clean it. A unique gift for your loved ones or for yourself. It will fit on your coffe table or near your fireplace. A unique addition to your collection.
